YOU WILL RIDE ON A VARIETY OF BEAUTIFUL TRAILS IN AND AROUND ASHLAND.

There is no better way to experience Oregon in all her natural glory; trails meandering through wildflower-strewn meadows, by pristine mountain creeks, amidst majestic firs and lofty pines. The panoramic views are breathtaking and wildlife abounds. Your horse will be gentle and steady, making the ride a pure pleasure for the experienced or first time greenhorn.

Gentle, steady horses make the ride pleasant and enjoyable for an experienced cowpoke, cowgirl or first-time greenhorn (kids and adults).

horsebackAshland's Summer Horse Camp for Kids
Ashland's Summer Horse Camp offers a summer of weekly day camps that teach kids to ride and care for horses. Based on CHA (Certified Horsemanship Association) instruction, each session includes mounted lessons, lectures on horsemanship theory and safety, horse related crafts and activities, as well as an introduction to the wholesome ranch life. Campers participate with pride in the routine hands on care and handling of horses and find out what it really means to own a horse. Kids ages 6 to 15, beginner through intermediate, will love Ashland's Summer Horse Camp for Kids. Each session is five days, group numbers are small, so book early!

THE GOAL IS TO SHARE A UNIQUE HORSE CAMP EXPERIENCE FOR YOUR CHILD
Ashland Horse Camp Week Rates start at $250 per week

The Camper ( 6-15 yrs old) will experience one week (five 3-hour days) or more of absolute fun in a safe, wholesome and supportive environment with experienced adventure and inspiration.This week will build character and confidence!
The instruction and activities at this camp will challenge and improve each camper's riding skills. - Lessons emphasize, communication using the four natural aids to control the horse - Focus is on developing proper body alignment, balance, independent seat in each rider.

Fully supervised, individual attention and foremost of all, safety is foundational to our riding program, where we aim to produce competent riders who appreciate and practice with intelligence and competence, all aspects of sound horsemanship.
Campers will learn through fun and meet new friends! We believe that horses are good for people and if properly educated, people can be good for horses! We find that lessons learned working with horses help develop skills that last a lifetime.

Our Primary Guide, Trainer and Licensed Outfitter is Leslie Hunter of Ashland, Oregon. She is owner of the Flying L Ranch and is a seasoned professional horsewoman, rider and trainer. She has over 28 years experience working with horses, loves the outdoors and sharing her extensive knowledge of horsemanship, local terrain and wildlife with others.

Main Street Tours Terms and Conditions

  • Daily tours are designed to accommodate a minimum of 2 persons or more.  We also make arrangements for larger group tours – ask about our larger group discounts.
  • Our tour guides are professional hosts, educators, and our transport vehicles are custom, air-conditioned vans, Suburbans or in some cases, buses.
  • We request that all tours be paid by tour departure and that a hold deposit for a date is secured. We are safety certified by the Red Cross.
  • CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellations after deposits are made , received more than 48- hours prior to a tour date or reservation booking , will result in a refund of 90% of the reservation price to cover our handling costs.  Less than 48 hours from tour departure  - 50% cancellation fee is required.  Feel free to contact us at (541) 482-7895 for extenuating circumstances.
  • We are not responsible for lost or stolen articles left on board any of our vehicles or at wineries.
  • We are safety certified by the Red Cross
